V Konferencja Naukowo-Dydaktyczna Wydziału Biologii UAM odbywa się w roku ze wszech miar szczególnym. Dla naszego kraju jest to rok obchodów 100-lecia odzyskania Niepodległości, dla regionu jest to setna rocznica zakończenia Powstania Wielkopolskiego i powrotu Wielkopolski do Macierzy, zaś dla Uniwersytetu i trzech innych uczelni jest to rok obchodów stulecia Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego. Jako wydział włączamy się w wielkie święto akademickiego Poznania tak, jak potrafimy najlepiej: nawiązując dialog z nauką światową najwyższej próby i dyskutując o problemach naukowych i dydaktycznych szeroko rozumianych nauk o życiu. Świętujemy 100-lecie nauk biologicznych w Poznaniu i 35-lecie Wydziału Biologii UAM, ale równocześnie spoglądamy w przyszłość i otwieramy się na nowe pokolenia przyszłych badaczy. Stąd też w ramy Konferencji Wydziałowej włączone zostały również: konferencja studentów-przyrodników oraz konferencja doktorancka BioRUN.

The V International Conference on Research and Education of the Faculty of Biology is happening in the year of all things special. For our country, this is the celebration year for the 100^th anniversary of regained independence; for the region, this is the 100^th anniversary- of the end of the Wielkopolskie Uprising and return of Wielkopolska to reborn Poland; and finally, for the University and three other higher schools, this is the celebration year for the 100^th anniversary of Poznań University. As the Faculty we are joining this grand festivity of academic Poznań in the best possible way, i.e. through entering the dialogue with the top international research, and the discussions about scientific and educational problems within broadly-sensed life sciences. We are celebrating 100 years of biological sciences in Poznań as well as 35 years of the Faculty of Biology in its present shape, but at the same time we are looking into the future and opening to the new generations of forthcoming researchers. Hence, within the framework of the Conference, two meetings have also been included: the conference of students-naturalists as well as BioRUN – the conference of PhD students.
